We are currently seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Operations Consultant to join our dynamic Data Operations team. The Data Operations Consultant is a remote role and will be responsible for the maintenance and quality analysis of regulatory data used within Craneware products along with providing customer facing support and ongoing education.   This position reports directly to the Data Operations Lead Consultant.

 Job Responsibilities:

    • Researching, interpreting & updating regulatory logic, to ensure the products and services provided to customers are up to date and accurate.
    • Working with other Data Operations Consultants and Data Operations Lead Consultant to define logic for current and future product lines.
    • Acquiring, receiving and tracking the receipt of multiple data files types to determine their use within internal tools and software products.
    • Filtering and “cleansing” data, reviewing outputs and correcting problems to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
    • Managing customer expectations and service level agreements/timelines, ensuring that customers are kept informed at all times.
    • Maintain all departmental processes and procedures to detail the functions and data requirements of the products and company, to ensure accurate recording of processes and procedures.
    • Continuously monitoring healthcare related technical, industry and business trends and take responsibility for personal development, to ensure that the future needs of the company are met.
    • Working on complex Quality Assurance projects.
    • Providing customer facing support by researching and responding to inquiries related to billing, coding, compliance, chargemaster maintenance, etc.
    • Delivering customer facing educational sessions on complex regulatory, coding and/or reimbursement topics as required.
    • Present at industry events (e.g. HFMA annual meetings, NAHRI Revenue Integrity symposiums, etc.)

Desired Experience and Skills - The ideal candidate will bring:

Experience - REQUIRED to be 100% successful in this role

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a hospital revenue integrity related field; e.g. coding, compliance, audit, chargemaster maintenance, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of Medicare OPPS/IPPS coding, reimbursement and regulatory information
  • Coding Certification or 15 years’ experience in a specific area of Medicare regulatory data
  • Broad knowledge in multiple areas of the healthcare regulatory arena


  • Microsoft Office and project management skills
  • Exceptional communications skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to self-plan and self-organize effectively and use appropriate tools for planning purposes
  • Proven track record of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Some experience of Public Speaking
  • Exceptional leadership and verbal/written communication skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to stay on task while working independently
  • Results driven
  • Educated to Bachelor Degree
