Description

The manager will oversee the Clinical Informatics teams responsible for partnering with clinical operational departments to promote the adoption of technology through change management and education. Responsible for both the Training and Education Design (TED) and Clinical Informatics Partners (CIP). Manages Clinical Informatics teams who support training and end user adoption of technology in all platforms, service lines and departments. Develops and implements strategies to improve end-user proficiency in technology and maximize the utilization of technology in the clinical space to ultimately improve the quality of patient care.  Leads and coordinates projects with stakeholders (facility, regional, and enterprise) in order to support training, change management and adoption. Determines resource needs to achieve operational and project goals. Responsible for guiding the teams to support the end-users in optimal and efficient, effective use of the electronic medical record. Serves as liaison with leadership to support the implementation of new clinical information functionality.  Works closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives with appropriate changes to clinical information systems and workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Previous leadership equivalent to 2 years in a healthcare technology setting such as IT or Clinical Informatics is necessary in order to lead the Clinical Informatics team. Knowledge of all healthcare operational environments including ambulatory, inpatient and perioperative is essential to serving our customers. 
  • One year of Epic Implementation and/or support is preferred. 
  • One year of project management experience and leading information system projects within a health care setting is preferred. 
  • Five years of health care experience in a position of increasing responsibility, including at least one year experience leading  Epic implementation and support is preferred. Experience in leading organizational change, in developing positive rapport with staff members, and in motivating others to complete deliverables on-time is strongly preferred.

  •  Bachelors Degree required.
  •  Bachelor's degree in a clinically relevant field such as Nursing is preferred. Masters Degree in a relevant field such as nursing, nursing informatics, education, information systems or computer science is preferred. 
  • ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification preferred. Individuals who have completed an Epic training path such as certification preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse preferred.
